Dr. Maritza Medgine Pierre Dietrich

Board Member

Born and raised in Haiti, Dr. Maritza Medgine Pierre Dietrich is a professional with a strong background and extensive knowledge in global diplomacy, leadership psychology, organizational development, humanitarian work, and public service.

At a young age, she was crowned Miss Videomax Été 2005, winning the nationally acclaimed pageant that introduced her to the then President of Haiti, the Honorable Boniface Alexandre, and global musical icons Wyclef Jean and Shakira. She is a published author of four literary works.

Dr. Dietrich emigrated to Niger—two years after the earthquake that devastated her land in 2010—where she and her family immersed themselves in the rich, hospitable culture of the people of Niamey.

She left the African continent and relocated to the U.S. where she has since earned her Doctorate in Leadership Psychology and Organizational Development, a Bachelor’s and a Master’s in Human Resources, reinforcing her first Bachelor’s in Diplomacy she earned in Haiti.

Among the many projects she spearheaded, at 19, she directed and hosted a TV show, while being the News Anchor with the national mainstream media of Haiti, and provided a platform for victims of rape to openly share their story. With her mother, she opened a school in an underprivileged area of Haiti and offered free tuition to the families who could not afford their children’s education.

Dr. Dietrich advocated for over 300 homeless children and mobilized state and non-state actors to coordinate efforts to feed them. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in international affairs at Geoge Washington University Elliott School of International affairs and a firm believer that one should just give back, in big or small ways. And she intends to do that as a proud Board Member of Rehoboth
